From lydia at ucar.edu Wed Apr 19 16:38:55 2006 From: lydia at ucar.edu (Lydia Shiver) Date: Wed Apr 19 16:38:56 2006 Subject: [CCSM-ClimateChange] CCWG Meeting at CCSM Workshop Message-ID: <12740699.1145486335327.JavaMail.root@squirrel> Hello everyone, Jerry Meehl asked me to send this email to you. As many of you already know, the annual CCSM workshop will be held in Breckenridge, CO, from 20-22 June, 2006 (http://www.ccsm.ucar.edu/news/ws.2006/index.html). The Climate Change Working Group (CCWG) will first meet on Thursday, June 22, from 8:30AM to 10:00AM jointly with the Climate Variability Working Group (CVWG). This special session will focus on ensembles, and speakers have already been invited for that session. Then, the CCWG will meet separately from 10:30AM to noon. This session will involve presentations of climate change results relevant to CCSM3. This is an open invitation for you to apply to give a presentation as part of the CCWG session from 10:30AM to Noon on Thursday. Presentations can cover any aspect of the 20th century or 21st century climate simulations, the climate change commitment runs, the long control runs, the slab ocean runs, or the 1% CO2 runs. Since we only have 1.5 hours for our session, the format of the presentations will depend on the response to this announcement. Also in this session we will have a discussion of plans for the upcoming year. Please respond to Jerry Meehl (meehl@ncar.ucar.edu) by May 15, 2006, if you wish to make a presentation. Thank you for your consideration and participation. Jerry Meehl, Warren Washington, and Ben Santer Co-chairs, Climate Change Working Group
