From doremire at ucar.edu Mon Apr 23 14:03:46 2007 From: doremire at ucar.edu (Emily Doremire) Date: Mon, 23 Apr 2007 14:03:46 -0600 Subject: [CCSM-ClimateChange] CCWG Announcement Message-ID: <462D1122.7000109@ucar.edu> As many of you already know, the annual CCSM workshop will be held in Breckenridge, CO, from 19-21 June, 2007 (http://www.ccsm.ucar.edu/events/CCSMAnnualWorkshop2007/announcement.html). The Climate Change Working Group (CCWG) will meet on Tuesday afternoon, June 19. This session will involve presentations of climate change results relevant to the CCSM3 (though multi-model results including the CCSM3 , PCM and other models from the multi-model dataset archived at PCMDI will be appropriate as well). This is an open invitation for you to apply to give a presentation as part of the CCWG session. Presentations can cover any aspect of the 20th century or 21st century climate simulations, the climate change commitment runs, the long control runs, the slab ocean runs, or the 1% CO2 runs. Also in this session we will have a discussion of plans for the upcoming year, including developments on the international level directly pertaining to the CCWG regarding coordinated experiments using AOGCMs and Earth System Models to address short term and long term climate change related to stabilization scenarios. Please respond to Jerry Meehl (meehl at ncar.ucar.edu) by May 15, 2007, if you wish to make a presentation. Thank you for your consideration and participation. We look forward to seeing you in Breckenridge! Jerry Meehl, Warren Washington, and Ben Santer Co-chairs, Climate Change Working Group
