Dear Working Group Members:

The next CCSM OCEAN WORKING GROUP MEETING will be held 14-15 JANUARY
2004 in the Damon Room at NCAR's Mesa Laboratory. This is your
opportunity to contribute to the agenda. Provisional items are listed
below. Please reply to Lydia at lydia at ucar.edu with additions,
comments, and any contributions you would like to make. Past experience
shows that the meeting will probably take 2 full days. Please make your
travel plans accordingly. A list of hotels can be viewed at
http://www.ccsm.ucar.edu/working_groups/BoulderHotels.html.

The working group meeting will be preceded by a joint meeting of CCSM
and GFDL ocean and sea-ice modelers on 13 January 13 2004. Everyone is
welcome to participate. The primary focus will be on a comparison of
GFDL and CCSM ocean model results with similar forcing.

Please send email to Lydia at lydia at ucar.edu to let her know that you
will or will not attend either or both meetings (attend OWG or attend
GFDL/OWG meeting).

A relevant development has been the SSC's decision to go ahead with a
special issue of the Journal of Climate dedicated to CCSM3. The
deadline has been set for submission on 1 August 2004.
