Subject: [CMIP6-Endorsed MIPs] Revised timeline for delivery of forcings
To: CMIP6-ENDORSEDMIPS-COCHAIRS at jiscmail.ac.uk
Dear CMIP6 Endorsed MIP Co-Chairs,
The team to generate future forcings for ScenarioMIP and several other MIPs
has made considerable progress in the last few months and most tasks have
been finished by now, including the harmonization with historical data and
the development of the land-use/land cover data. Unfortunately, however,
overall delivery has been slightly delayed. A revised timeline is given
· The expected delivery date for the future emission data and
long-lived greenhouse gas concentrations on input4MIPs is now *mid-March
· Future land-use forcing data are *already available at input4MIPs*.
· Anthropogenic aerosol optical properties and an associated Twomey
effect for all future scenarios used in ScenarioMIP will be released by *end
· The delivery date of the future ozone data base will follow 2.5
months after the delivery of the emissions data and long-lived greenhouse
gas concentrations (these datasets are needed to run the ozone
simulations), hence is foreseen for *end of May*.
All future forcing datasets will be described in individual contributions
in the GMD CMIP6 Special Issue.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.

*Malte Meinshausen (future CO2 concentrations)*

properties and Twomey effect)*
