[CF-metadata] adding more map projections

Hi all,
I would like to use a different map projection as the ones defined in
Appendix F of the user manual. Is there any specific way of going about
that? The projection I am interested in is the Lambert Azimuthal Equal
Area projection defined by the longitude and latitude of the projection
centre.
